Heathrow Airport: Carbon Impact Assessment for 3rd Runway

As expert advisors for the carbon impact assessment of the 3rd runway, Ecolyse are responsible for assessing the carbon footprint for aviation activity, which represents over 95% of the project’s overall footprint. Ecolyse authored the carbon chapter of Heathrow’s consultation document and lead on developing the mitigation strategy that aims to ensure the project’s alignment with the UK Climate Change Act. This includes authoring the carbon impact assessment supporting the DCO application.

NHS: Climate Resilience Strategy for NHS Foundation Trust
Date: 2017
In a series of workshops Ecolyse established the main climate resilience risks to this large NHS Trust and further established a climate resilience management plan. This detailed short and longer term actions required to protect assets and mitigate future climate threats.

(Confidential Client): Carbon Impact Assessment for major residential and commercial development in Central London
Date: 2018
Ecolyse completed the whole-life Green House Gas (GHG) Impact Assessment chapter for the Environmental Statement for a major commercial and residential development in central London. The assessment quantified the GHG emissions from construction and operation of the site and assessed the likely significant effects of the development.

Hong Kong Airport: Developing a 2040 Sustainable Development Masterplan
Date: 2016
Ecolyse developed a sustainable development vision for Hong Kong International Airport’s 2040 Masterplan. This included identification of future environmental trends and environmental strategies evidenced through a global best practice review that developed over 30 case studies based on interviews with functional and business leaders from major global hub airports.
