2. Environmental and Carbon Impact Assessments

Scoping and managing assessments and planning studies that result in sustainable business growth, such as:

• Environment Impact Assessment (EIA);
• Carbon Impact Assessment;
• Health Impact Assessment (HIA);
• Sustainability Assessment;
• Public and stakeholder consultation.

Projects include;

Carbon Impact Assessment of numerous major residential developments in London and across the UK;
Carbon Impact Assessment for Heathrow’s 3rd runway;
Health Impact Assessment of Heathrow’s 3rd runway;
Environmental Impact Assessment of Stansted Airport Expansion to 35mppa;
Environmental Impact Assessment for a 2nd runway at Stansted Airport;
Community consultations and participation at public inquiries.

3. Environment and Asset Management Systems

Designing and implementing management systems, processes and standards that drive continuous performance improvement, including:

• Environmental Management Systems (EMS);
• Asset Management Systems (AMS);
• Training and capacity building;
• Performance standards.

Projects include;

Building and implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 55001 management systems that integrate into a wider HSSE management and reporting framework in the transport and manufacturing sectors;
Development of a decision and risk management assessment framework (weighted criteria, assessment methods and metrics) used by Heathrow to evaluate and optimise its £3bn investment plan;
Authoring and delivery of environmental and risk management training programmes covering over 500 staff across multiple global sites in the transport and energy sectors;
Setting of environmental design, performance and construction management requirements for major projects such as Heathrow's Terminal 2, recognised as best in class by an independent award.

4. Strategic reviews and stakeholder engagement

Critical reviews and analyses that challenge the status quo and drive innovation as well as stakeholder engagement, thus growing business advantage and excellence:

• Best practice benchmarking;
• Peer review;
• Stakeholder engagement;
• Workshop facilitation.

Projects include;

Global benchmarking study to identify best practice in environmental management in the airport sector;
Global best practice review (sustainability performance, stakeholder requirements, and technical and operational solutions) to create a sustainable development strategy for the global cement sector;
Best practice review determining the potential for aviation technology and operational practices to mitigate the environmental impacts of aviation growth out to 2050;
Stakeholder engagement workshops in the aviation sector (involving regulators, airlines, manufacturers, NGOs and airport operators) resulting in a best practice manual for reducing aviation’s climate change emissions.
